About the NGO Unit
Established in 2013, the NGO Unit manages the relationship between the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services (MSDFS) and service delivery partners involved in community-based social programs. Our mission is to support, regulate, and enhance the effectiveness of NGOs by providing funding, training, and oversight to ensure high-quality social service delivery.
We work closely with social service agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to:
Identify and support eligible organizations delivering critical social programs
Manage funding and grant applications for NGOs
Ensure compliance with government regulations and funding requirements
Promote training and capacity-building for NGO sustainability
Maintain an official NGO database

For: NGOs operating for at least 1 year, delivering social services that align with MSDFS priorities. Purpose: Supports the operational costs of a social development program.
Requirements:
Registered with the Ministry of the Attorney General & Legal Affairs
Must not be receiving duplicate funding for the same program
Must contribute at least 40% of operating budget
Must provide external audited financial statements
Dedicated bank account for subvention
